Manual Tester - Patrika

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester to test and validate our media product – across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure our news and media platform delivers a smooth, bug-free, and consistent user experience for millions of readers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across multiple devices, OS versions, and browsers.
• Validate UI/UX consistency and ensure content is displayed accurately (text, images, videos, ads, etc.).
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers to identify gaps and log defects.
• Document, track, and prioritize bugs using tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing (Android, iOS, desktop, tablet).
• Verify integration of notifications, social sharing, ad placements, and media playback features.
• Provide clear and actionable feedback to ensure high-quality product releases.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing (mobile + web applications).
• Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC processes.
• Hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Experience with responsive web testing and mobile app testing.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar.
• Ability to work independently as a consultant and deliver results within deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in media/news or content-heavy platforms is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to basic automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) for regression support.
• Knowledge of analytics validation (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.).
