Fullstack Frontend Developer (React, Next.js, Node, AWS)

We operate a high-traffic, mobile-first news platform where "breaking news" means instant load spikes, real-time content delivery, and zero tolerance for latency. We are looking for a Fullstack Frontend Developer who views the browser as a high-performance application environment. You won't just be "building pages"—you will be architecting resilient, SEO-optimized, and lightning-fast web experiences that scale.

What You’ll Do

• Architect Next.js Applications: Build and maintain a high-scale platform using Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript, leveraging Server Components (RSC) to minimize client-side ship size.
• Performance Engineering: Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) for mobile-first users, ensuring the site remains interactive even during 10k+ concurrent user surges.
• State & Data Management: Implement sophisticated data fetching and synchronization strategies using TanStack Query or SWR, ensuring seamless UI updates for live news feeds.
• Edge & Caching Strategy: Manage ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) and middleware-level caching to maintain high cache hit ratios at the edge (Vercel, Cloudflare, or AWS CloudFront).
• Fullstack Integration: Develop and maintain "Frontend-for-Backend" layers, including Next.js API Routes and Server Actions to bridge the gap between core data and the UI.
• Component Systems: Build a modular, accessible (a11y), and themeable UI library using Tailwind CSS that maintains visual consistency across mobile and desktop views.
• Observability: Instrument the frontend with RUM (Real User Monitoring), Sentry for error tracking, and performance profiling to catch regressions before they hit production.

You’re a Fit If You

• Are a Next.js Expert: You have deep production experience with the App Router, Suspense boundaries, and managing the balance between Server and Client components.
• Master the Rendering Path: You understand how to eliminate render-blocking resources and optimize "First Meaningful Paint" for users on low-bandwidth connections.
• Are Data-Fluent: You are comfortable working with complex JSON payloads, defining Zod schemas, and handling asynchronous state transitions gracefully.
• Take Ownership: You don't just "CSS a mockup"—you care about the underlying infrastructure, from build-time optimizations to runtime memory leaks.
• Prioritize Security: You understand frontend security best practices, including CSP headers, XSS prevention, and secure cookie management.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Web Workers or offloading heavy computations from the main thread.
• Knowledge of Edge Functions for geo-distributed personalization and A/B testing.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS architectures (WordPress, Contentful, or Strapi).
• Experience with load testing tools like k6 or Artillery to simulate traffic spikes on frontend routes.
