About the role

Role Overview

Patrika Digital is seeking a commercially aggressive, externally facing Head of Digital Revenue Network to assume full commercial ownership across programmatic display advertising, subscription products, and branded partnerships. You will hold the authority to negotiate directly with major global ad-tech partners, supply-side platforms (SSPs), and demand-side platforms (DSPs), while dictating subscription pricing logic alongside Product and Growth teams.

Key Responsibilities & Core Problems to Solve

  • Revenue Diversification: De-risk Patrika's financial reliance on standard programmatic banners, which face ongoing pressure from industry-wide CPM drops and AI-driven search traffic declines.
  • Scale Reader Revenue: Transform the app premium subscription line and e-paper bundling from an experimental phase into an aggressive commercial revenue engine.
  • Yield Optimization Strategy: Actively optimize inventory yields, fill rates, header bidding setups, and programmatic vendor mixes to ensure overall monetization outpaces traffic shifts.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain continuous external touchpoints with ad-tech partners and corporate advertisers to bring fresh demand trends back to internal operations.

Experience & Scale Requirements

  • Extensive history running programmatic display pipelines at scale for a major digital publisher, with advanced mastery of Google Ad Manager, header bidding, and managing direct sales teams.
  • Proven history of structurally designing and commercially scaling reader-revenue programs, including bundle configurations and churn metrics.
  • Direct experience navigating the Indian digital advertising tech ecosystem, with clear strategies for regional ad demand and low-CPM constraints.

Critical Disqualifiers

  • Experience confined solely to traditional print ad sales without programmatic ad-tech fluency.
  • Lacking direct exposure to reader revenue or subscription infrastructure; having only monetized via advertising.
  • Inability to demonstrate a concrete track record of maintaining or growing digital revenue when baseline site traffic is flat or declining.
