Senior Engineer - UI

Role Overview

This role covers ETV's web frontend - website maintenance, new components and migration, internal tools, and admin portals - and the platform work underneath it: new authoring experiences, an enhanced design system, and a move to a modern frontend architecture. Because ETV is a news publisher, frontend decisions carry SEO and performance consequences that go straight to traffic. This is the one role in the set based onsite in Hyderabad. Experience required: 2-5 years.

What You'll Work On

• Responsive web applications and reusable UI components
• Managing and evolving the design system
• Website maintenance, new website components, and migration
• Internal tools and admin portals
• Frontend performance and accessibility optimisation

Who Is Right for This Role

• 2-5 years in React/Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5/CSS3
• Has worked on large, evolving UI codebases through at least two product iterations
• Has improved UI performance, reliability, and user experience based on real production needs
• Has worked with or contributed to a design system or shared component library
• Has kept UI patterns consistent across a large application as it grew
• Solid on REST API integration, state management, responsive development, Git, and SEO fundamentals

Who Isn't a Fit

• Has no experience maintaining consistent UI patterns across a large application
• Has never worked with or contributed to a design system or shared component library
